Advance.org is a government funded, 23,000 strong network of global Australian professionals who work with Advance to give back to the Australian community.
The brief
Advance was looking to raise awareness for two of its annual projects:
The Innovation Program – which takes 25 Australian startups to Silicon Valley each year to be mentored, with the aim of taking their businesses global.
The Advance Global Australian Awards – which honours 10 global Australians who have excelled in fields such as:
- Social Innovation
- CleanTech
- BioTech
- Advanced Manufacturing
The work
We worked with Advance to achieve the following:
Awards
- Gain coverage for Awards program
- Develop Award nominee profiles
- Pitch nominees to journalists
- Pitch Award winners to journalists
- Organise press photography with Award winners
- Build a media partnership
- Manage media partnership and ensure coverage achieved
- Invite media to the Awards
- Organise interviews with media
- Secure post event coverage
Innovation Program
- Gain applications for the Program

- Work with start-ups on media opportunities
- Arrange media interviews with Program participants
- Arrange media interviews with speakers at the Summit in Silicon Valley

AGM
We attended an AGM and workshop to report on the success of the communications activities for the year and support strategic planning for the following year.
